I wake up this morning and I can barely move. Every muscle in my body is completely sore! But maannnn is it worth it!!!Yesterday my friend Renan took me on the most challenging hike I have ever done (and I have done plenty of hikes!) This hike was 3 hours to the top, and 3 hours down. Going uphill was tough!Jumping, bouldering, and to finally get to the very top you had to rock climb, with no gear.YAH!I was like “whoooaaa!umm idk if I could do that!” But Renan was a great motivator the whole way and he told me not to be afraid! So together we made it to the top!!!
The way down was much easier, except for the rock climbing part.On the way back down you have to be looking for the exact crack to position your foot on, and of course you can’t ignore the long way down haha!We got stuck for a little bit but figured it out. I love challenging myself, doing things I doubt I can do, but once I get it done it is that MUCH more rewarding!
The view! You can see all of Rio from there. Behind me you can see Dois Irmãos, Ipanema and Copacabana, Lagoa and out further Pão de Azucar. You can’t see it here but to the left is the Jesus statue. And in front of me on the other side of the rock you have another amazing view of Barra de Tijuca!
